Things to Experience on the Long Beach Peninsula!!

  • See the lighthouses: Cape Disappointment and North Head
  • Visit the Lewis and Clark Interpretive cCenter 
  • Stroll through downtown Long Beach and check out the many little antique and gift shops
  • Enjoy horseback riding on the Long Beach Peninsula
  • Take a leisurely walk along the boardwalk or beach
  • Have a picnic lunch in any secluded spot on the beautiful Washington Coast
  • Drive up to little old Nahcotta and Oysterville at the north end of the the Long Beach Peninsula
  • Charter a fishing boat in Ilwaco and catch some fresh salmon or sturgeon on the mouth of the Columbia 
  • Rent a tandem bike or moped. Ride along the new bike trail along the beach.
  • Hike to Leadbetter Point at the north end of the peninsula where there is a game reserve, which is great for animal and bird watching.
  • Kayak in Willapa Bay over to Long Island which is only accessible by boat.
  • Enjoy a day of golf at either of the two courses on the peninsula.

The Long Beach Peninsula is a kite flyer's paradise. Kite flyers come from all over the world for the International Kite Festival. Long Beach will host the annual Kite Festival this August. The Stunt Kite competition is in June.

We are fortunate to have some of the best restaurants in all of Washington. Enjoy seafood or gourmet specialty foods prepared at restaurants such as the Depot Restaurant, Dooger's, The Port Bistro and Shoalwater Restaurant.

We highly recommend the Beach House Café as the newest beachfront restaurant here on the Peninsula. Fresh, funky fare, a short stroll away.
